How the tier system works

TierMeaning
T0Defines the current meta. No real weakness in Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction or Apocalyptic Shadow; a priority warp for an account built to clear.
T0.5Excellent almost everywhere. The gap to T0 is small and often a matter of the team around them.
T1Strong, with a condition attached: a skill ceiling, a specific partner, or a narrower set of content.
T1.5Solid. Pulls its weight in the right team, but is rarely the reason a run works.
T2Viable. Clears, but is outclassed where the content is hardest — limited rather than useless.
T3Niche. A narrow role or a low ceiling; still functions in the team built for it.
T4Limited. Overtaken by later kits doing the same job better, usually at lower investment.
T5Outclassed in every role. Kept on the board so the list is complete, not as a recommendation.
TagMeaning
Expert −1Placed for expert play; counts one band lower without the execution.
ExpertPlaced for expert play; holds the band either way, but the ceiling needs it.
NewReleased this version; the placement is early.
FlexibleFits more than one column; shown where the value is highest.
BreakThe value is in Weakness Break and Break Effect, not in the kit’s own multipliers.
Follow-upAttacks outside its own turn, so it gains from whatever else is taking turns.
DoTDamage over time: the numbers land on the enemy’s turn rather than on this one’s.
What this list isA placement by role at a stated Eidolon, reviewed each version. It is a judgement about the content that rewards damage most — not a measure of how fun a character is, and not a verdict on an account where the team around them is different. A character’s page carries the kit data a placement was read from.

Tier list FAQ

How do I read a placement?
Each character sits in one of four columns — Main DPS, Sub DPS, Support, or Sustain — at the band their kit earns there. The badge on the tile is the Eidolon the placement assumes: E0 is quiet, anything higher is lit, and a character at E6 in a band is not a promise about the same character at E0. A character who does two jobs appears in both columns, sometimes in different bands.
Is this a score?
No. The placements are editorial and reviewed each version; nothing on this page is a survey result and no band is a computed number. The character pages carry the kit data the placement was read from, so a placement can be argued with rather than taken on trust.
What do the tags under a tile mean?
Expert marks a kit that only reaches its band with the execution — with the −1, it counts one band lower without it. Flexible means the character fits more than one column. Break, Follow-up and DoT say where the value comes from: Weakness Break rather than the kit’s own multipliers, attacks that land outside its own turn, or damage that ticks on the enemy’s. New marks a release from the current version, whose placement is early.
Why is a character missing?
Because they have not released yet. A kit that is in the game files but has not been played is a guess with a rank attached, so it stays off the board until the warp opens.
